Continuing Education Classes
Beginning Wheelthrowing, Instructor, Darlene Brady
Monday nights 6—9pm. Clay Studio. This class will provide hands-on learning of basic pottery skills in a structured, supportive, fun setting. Cost of course $70. Materials fee $10. includes 25 lbs. clay & glaze, must be paid at registration.
First Session: January 30 through March 6 (6 weeks).
Second Session: March 8 through April 19 (6 weeks), no class on April 5.
Intermediate Wheelthrowing, Instructor, Ray Edwards
Wednesday nights 6—9pm. Clay Studio. This class will challenge students with some wheel experience by providing more time to practice and improve skills and techniques.
Cost of course $70. Materials fee $10 must be paid at registration. Bring clay tools.
First Session: January 20 through February 24 (6 weeks).
Second Session, March 10 through April 14 (6 weeks).
Exploring the Wheel, Instructor, Jennifer Siegel
Thursday afternoons 2—5pm. Clay Studio. Students will explore new forms, design techniques and methods of
glazing. Cost of course $70. Materials fee $10. includes 25 lbs. clay & glaze, must be paid at registration. Bring clay tools and dust mask.
First Session: January 21 through February 25 (6 weeks).
Second Session: April 1 through May 6 (6 weeks).
Clay Open Studio, Facilitator, Staff
Open to current degree students and those registered in Continuing Education classes.
Saturdays, 9:00am —1:00pm. Clay Studio. Cost $40. Clay must be purchased at either campus prior to Saturday. Students bring supplies.
First Session: January 23 through February 27 (6 weeks).
Second Session: March 20 through May 1 (6 weeks). CCCC closed April 3.

Hot and Salty, Instructor, Jennifer Siegel
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays; 10:00am—10:00pm March 7; noon—5:00pm March 12;11:00am—9:pm March 13; firing kiln 8:00am to midnight March 14; noon to 3:00pm March 19. Create ceramic ware and fire in a Cone 10 gas/salt kiln. Prerequisite: Intermediate level skills. Bring pottery tools, dust mask, rubber gloves, bisque ware.
Cost for workshop $152.00. Materials fee $10.00.
Raku Firing, Instructor, Raymond Edwards
Friday 3:00—7:00pm April 23, Clay Studio & Saturday 9:00am—5:00pm April 24, Metals Studio This workshop will bring students closer to the Raku process through setting up the Raku kiln safely, mixing glazes and firing the Raku kiln. Students supply own bisqued pots. Cost of course 51.25. Materials fee $10.00.
Hand Building Hard Slab Construction, Instructor, Jennifer Siegel
In this class students will learn skills and techniques of hand building such as design, scoring, slipping, glazing and firing. Included will be slab rolling, cutting, assembling, personalizing, glazing and firing. Clay Studio
Sundays February 7, 21, and 28, noon to 6:00pm.

Advanced Pottery Techniques Workshop
Instructor, Joseph Sand
Students will learn advanced techniques (pulling handles, trimming feet, making lids, throwing with ribs, throwing, decorating, and finishing of pottery) based on the Leach/Cardew/Hewitt tradition.
Bring pottery tools.
